I will never be a great runner, but I will continue to run as long as my body will let me. This morning I joined my sister and brother-in-law for my first “in the woods” run. Dang it was hard. I never imagined there would be a time in my life that I would be running through the forest and up and down hills. (Unless something was chasing me). A couple of things got me through it; my sister and brother were smoking me, it was for a great cause, and the young, adorable girl in front of me wearing the “class of 2016” shirt. This “Class of 1990” girl had something to prove. I finished and I was in the upper 50 percent of the runners, and that’s just fine with me. It’s good to challenge yourself. It keeps your mind and body happy! It’s really good to do something that benefits others, too. Find a way to make someone else happy today. You will reap the benefits, too!
