Lunching With The Ladies
Today is going great! It’ my day off and I was able to meet up with some of my lovely girlfriends for lunch at the Granary at Fearrington in Chatham county. It was super yummy. I had every intention of eating a salad and drinking water and that somehow turned into a liquor drink and a burger topped with pork belly and a fried egg with truffled, parmesan French fries on the side. Really? Yes, that’s what I had. Life’s too short to be so rigid with our diets. I am good 90% of the time. I was blessed to be accompanied by some of my favorite ladies in the world. Two of the ladies I had not seen in over 6 months and it was as if not a day had passed. Don’t you love that? I just love when a friend comes into your life that you know will always be there. No matter the time spent apart, the friendship never changes. I always joke with my friends about joining me in my twilight years (God-willing) and wearing matching purple velour pant suits. Doesn’t that sound perfect? When you find people in your life that make you feel good, hold on tight. These people are special, little treasure pots. If you nurture these friendships you will receive so much in return. Thanks ladies for being such wonderful treasures. There’s a purple velour suit with your name written on it.
