Our family tradition is to go to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving.  I was greeted yesterday morning by my adorable nephew screaming at me that it was time for the Thanksgiving party, followed by hugs and kisses.  It was a fantastic way to start my day.  We toasted the start of the party with orange juice for the kiddos and a mimosa for Aunt Shanny.

The turkey was moist and delicious!

My sister and I took selfies shamelessly while drinking mimosas and cooking.

My plate overflowed with deliciousness and I attacked it.  Notice I was drinking sweet tea and a cabernet?  That’s what we call a holiday.

Kelly’s pumpkin cheesecake came next.  Yummy.  I had a bit more before going to bed last night.  Shameless, I tell ya’.

And our sweet dogs had to go outside for misbehaving.  Not for long though.  It was a wonderful day.  I hope everyone had an amazing holiday.

Now on to surviving Black Friday.  The parking lot was full before we opened today.  Eeek.
PS-and I almost forgot-when we were sharing what we were thankful for this year, my niece is thankful for unicorns and my nephew for dinosaurs. Hahahaha

  1. I can’t wait to hear what the doggies did! 🙂 Looks like it was a great day!! I see the unicorn trait is being passed on-haha!!

    1. Well thank you! The turkey had a mirepoix stuffed inside. It’s basically celery, onions and carrots. It keeps the turkey really moist and they serve as aromatics.

  2. Hi! Back to look around 🙂 That turkey looked ginormous! We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving where I’m from but it was fun to read all the different posts about the holiday 🙂
It seemed like a lot of fun at your sister’s place 🙂
You’re both beautiful ladies and adorable kids too!
The dogs of course were my favourite…:)

    1. The dogs were a riot-in a good way. They are both rescue dogs and they just made the day even better. They love each other. And yes, my brother-in-law always makes the biggest turkey and it’s always super yummy!
